The Philippi Shore Power Unit LAE 235 is a shore power unit with an RCBO circuit breaker (16 A / 30 mA), mains control indicator, and Schuko socket for 230 V onboard electrical systems on boats. It is compatible with the Series 200 circuit distribution panels and is used for the safe, direct connection of 230 V consumers to shore power.
- Direct socket connection for 230 V devices without additional wiring
- Integrated residual current protection reliably protects the onboard system and user
- Mains control indicator shows at a glance whether shore power is correctly applied
The LAE 235 combines residual current protection, mains control, and a Schuko socket in one compact panel, making it ideal as a central shore power distribution point on board. The integrated RCBO circuit breaker (16 A / 30 mA) protects both the socket and downstream consumers from fault currents, while the mains control indicator signals the correct connection to the shore power grid. Connection is made via rear terminals; the electrical design is back-of-hand safe to protect against electric shock.
The panel must be installed in such a way that the rear is only accessible and covered with tools. If the feed-in point is more than 3 m away, the supply line in its vicinity must be additionally protected with an MCB circuit breaker (e.g., Philippi LAE 205).
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Circuit breaker | RCBO 16 A / 30 mA |
| Equipment | Mains control indicator, Schuko socket |
| Voltage | AC 230 V / 50 Hz |
| Connection | Rear terminals, back-of-hand safe |
| Dimensions (W x H x D) | 105 x 210 x 100 mm |
| Mounting cutout | 81 x 186 mm (12 mm smaller per edge than the panel) |
The LAE 235 is compatible with Philippi Series 200 circuit distribution panels and can be combined with an upstream MCB circuit breaker such as the LAE 205 for longer supply lines.
What is the purpose of the Schuko socket on the LAE 235?
It enables the direct connection of 230 V consumers via a standard Schuko socket on the shore power panel.
Is additional protection necessary if the distance to the feed-in point is greater?
If the distance to the feed-in point is more than 3 m, the supply line in its vicinity must be additionally protected with an MCB circuit breaker (e.g., LAE 205).
How large must the mounting cutout for the LAE 235 be?
The mounting cutout can be chosen to be 12 mm smaller per edge than the panel dimensions (W 105 x H 210 mm), i.e., 81 x 186 mm.
Can the LAE 235 be combined with the Series 200 circuit distribution panels?
Yes, it is compatible with the Series 200 circuit distribution panels.
