philippi elektrische systeme has been developing and manufacturing on-board electrics in Remseck am Neckar, Germany, since 1978. In addition to one-off builds, we manufacture complete systems for power supply, monitoring and control in small and medium series for commercial customers.

What we do for manufacturers

Battery systems and power distribution: as an OEM supplier for 12 V, 24 V and 230 V systems.
Switch panels and displays to customer specification: based on our Series 100, 200 and 700 or as a custom design. We develop interfaces to other on-board systems at short notice.
Digital on-board systems with P-BUS and PCU: monitoring and control on one display, tailored to your model.
Main power distribution with the Power Install System: screwed together instead of individually wired, up to 250 A.
Refit solutions for existing model lines: precisely fitting replacement panels, for example for Bavaria yachts.

Fully assembled, even without electrical expertise

We supply fully assembled units that can be installed directly in the boat or vehicle via matching connectors, even by staff without electrical training. This supports customers who have no in-house specialists. We also prepare wiring diagrams and documentation on request.

How we work together

Enquiry and requirements: on-board system, quantities, deadlines.
Design and prototype: wiring diagram, prototype, your approval.
Series production and testing: manufacturing and testing in our own factory in Remseck.
Service over the life cycle: fast response to system and planning changes, spare parts and support also for older model lines.

Interfaces, components and standards

We are certified for NMEA 2000 communication solutions but can also integrate industrial standards. In addition to our own products, we plan and build with the brands we represent and with approved, standard-compliant marine and vehicle components. Our systems take into account the relevant standards for DC and AC installations on small craft (ISO 13297:2020).

Does philippi build switch panels to customer specification?

Yes. The basis is either our Series 100, 200 and 700 switch panels or a custom design to your specifications – with freely selectable configuration, protection per circuit, integrated displays and labelling in your language. On request we develop interfaces to other on-board systems. One-offs are available as custom builds.

Do we need our own electricians for installation?

No. We supply fully assembled and tested units with connectors that can be installed in the boat or vehicle without special electrical expertise. On request we also prepare wiring diagrams and documentation so that installation, acceptance and later maintenance remain traceable.

Where is production?

Development, manufacturing and testing take place in our own factory in Remseck am Neckar near Stuttgart, where philippi has been building on-board electrics since 1978. This lets us respond quickly to changes in the series and supply spare parts and support also for older model lines.
