What is the PCU and what is it used for?

The PCU (Philippi Control Unit) is the central control and monitoring unit for onboard electrics in campers, motorhomes and boats. It combines battery, tank and energy monitoring as well as consumer control on a single display.

The PCU displays the charge status, current, and voltage of your batteries, the fill levels of up to four tanks, and the complete energy flow from solar, inverter, charge booster, and shore power in real time.

Yes. The PCU is compatible with both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems and can be used regardless of your vehicle's voltage.

TGT, TDT, Votronic, and SuperSense are compatible. A total of up to four tanks can be connected directly to the display at the same time.

In combination with the PSU Switching Unit, lighting and consumers can be dimmed, switched, and their performance monitored directly via the PCU. Each output of the PSU is additionally electronically protected up to 25 A.

Yes. The state of charge, current, and voltage of the auxiliary and starter batteries are displayed in real-time. Additionally, Bulltron Polar batteries can be directly connected and monitored in detail via the integrated P-BUS interface.

The Connect HUB is the central connection point for your devices and sensors. It bundles all connections, so only a single cable needs to be routed to the display.

The PSU provides eight switching outputs, which can be individually configured — for example, for lighting, pumps, or other consumers.

The PCU integrates LIN and CAN interfaces directly into the display. Additional interfaces or expansion modules are not required to connect compatible devices.

Yes. The PCU enables central control of air conditioners, refrigerators, and heaters directly via the display, eliminating the need to switch between multiple control panels.

Yes. In combination with the PSU, you can dim your lighting to the exact percentage, either digitally via the display or conventionally using a push-button.

Yes. In addition to in-house components, a wide range of third-party sensors and devices can be integrated, including BullTron, Votronic, SuperB, SuperSense, Dometic, Timberline, and Truma. A detailed overview can be found on our compatibility page.
