The Philippi STV Series 700 is a waterproof DC control panel (IP 66) for outdoor use on yachts and boats. It is designed for 12V and 24V onboard electrical systems and uses waterproof rocker circuit breakers from the E-T-A 3131 series with integrated LED function and night illumination.

The Series 700 circuit breaker panels allow for direct circuit protection at the switch, even outdoors, eliminating the need for additional wiring to separate fuses. The circuit breakers are equipped with integrated function monitoring and switchable night illumination. If the respective circuit is active, the symbol illuminates.

How does the waterproof circuit breaker of the Series 700 work?

The Series 700 circuit breakers are waterproof to IP 66 and designed as single-pole on-off rocker switches with overcurrent protection and LED function and night illumination. In case of a fault, the circuit breaker trips thermally, and the rocker returns to the off position – the LED turns off. After the fault is cleared, the circuit is reactivated by switching the rocker back on. No fuse replacement, no tools needed. 

The symbols are laser-engraved into the rocker switches, making them weatherproof and permanently legible – even after years of UV and saltwater exposure.

In the outdoor areas of yachts and boats, switching units must be splash-proof. Previously, only waterproof switches with on/off functionality were offered for this purpose. The required, usually separately mounted, fusing elements were located in the protected interior of the yachts. This meant: long cable runs, additional installation points, and separate fuse blocks indoors.

Series 700 solves this problem by combining a waterproof switch and an integrated circuit breaker in one housing – direct protection at the point of use, without extra wiring.

What models are available in Series 700?

The Series 700 is available in compact units with 3 to 5 circuit breakers – ideal for helm stations, cockpits, open decks, or other outdoor areas:

• STV 713 – 3 circuit breakers 10 A (without rockers)
• STV 714 – 3 circuit breakers 10 A + DC socket (without rockers)
• STV 714 V – 3 circuit breakers 10 A + DC voltmeter MVD, incl. seal (without rockers)
• STV 715 – 5 circuit breakers 10 A (without rockers)

Note: Delivery does not include rocker switches, which can be ordered individually depending on the desired symbols. This allows each panel to be individually configured with the appropriate symbol rockers (anchor, light, pump, VHF, etc.).

In which amperages are the Series 700 circuit breakers available? 6 A, 10 A (standard), 16 A, and 20 A – at no extra charge if desired. Also available as a push button (10 A) or changeover switch with center position.

Can the Series 700 be combined with the Series 200? The two series use different circuit breaker types and housings. For mixed installations, Series 200 is recommended for indoors and Series 700 for outdoors.
