Sine Wave Combi Inverter
The Xtender series of combi inverters are the result of many years of development work. The new smart-Boost function allows for the support of external AC sources (shore power, generator), meaning that the inverter's power can be added to an existing grid or generator's power to enable, for example, the starting of air conditioning units with weak shore power or generators (Power Shaving). The devices can also be combined with existing inverters to increase the available power. The pure sine wave voltage, exceptional overload capacity, and very high efficiency enable the safe start-up of motor loads with high inrush current. With shore power, the on-board batteries are automatically charged via a PFC-controlled charging stage, and the 230 V devices are supplied with shore power. The Power Sharing function ensures an automatic reduction of the charging current at the load limit of the AC source.
The Smart-Boost Function
This function can increase the power of another AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection, even when special loads (inductive, asymmetrical, with high inrush current, etc.) are connected. The Xtender can also be combined with almost all existing inverters to increase the available power.
Increasing System Power
Multiple Xtenders can be connected in parallel and three-phase. This allows up to nine Xtenders to work together in a system and operate loads up to 63 kilowatts. The Xtender can also be combined with almost all existing inverters to increase the available power. Using the RCC-02/-03 remote control, the Xtender can be configured, and all information about the system's status can be accessed at any time via the graphic display.
Adjustable Shore Power Capacity
If the current consumption of the loads exceeds the adjustable shore power capacity, the inverter automatically switches on. Likewise, the charging power is adjusted to the shore power capacity.
Automatic Load Detection
Adjustable load detection (stand-by) over a wide range starting from a very low value.
Multifunction Contacts
Potential-free changeover contacts can be programmed for many different applications. They can react to any event outside or inside the Xtender (grid availability, battery voltage, fault message). They can also be programmed as timers or switched during certain times (at night, weekends). Thus, they can serve as a generator start device, for shutting down less important loads, for indicating a fault, for situation-dependent battery charging, etc.
