Sine wave combination inverter
The Xtender series of combination inverters is the result of years of development. The new smart-Boost function allows for the support of external AC power sources (shore power, generator), meaning the inverter's output can be supplemented with existing grid or generator power to, for example, start air conditioners when the shore power supply is weak or to power generators (power shaving). The units can also be combined with existing inverters to increase the available power. The pure sine wave output, exceptional overload capacity, and very high efficiency ensure the safe starting of motor-driven loads with high starting currents. When connected to shore power, the onboard batteries are automatically charged via a PFC-controlled charging stage, and the 230V appliances are supplied with shore power. The power sharing function automatically reduces the charging current when the AC power source reaches its load limit.
The Smart Boost function
This function allows the output of another AC power source, such as a generator or shore power connection, to be increased, even when special loads (inductive, asymmetrical, with high inrush current, etc.) are connected. The Xtender can also be combined with almost all existing inverters to increase the available power.
Increasing system performance
Multiple Xtenders can be connected in parallel and three-phase. This allows up to nine Xtenders to work together in a single system, powering loads up to 63 kilowatts. The Xtender can also be combined with almost all existing inverters to increase the available power output. The Xtender can be configured using the RCC-02/-03 remote control, and all system status information can be accessed at any time via the graphical display.
Adjustable shore power
If the power consumption of the connected devices exceeds the adjustable shore power output, the inverter switches on automatically. The charging power is also adjusted to the shore power output.
Automatic load detection
Adjustable load detection (standby) over a wide range, starting from a very low value.
Multifunctional contacts
Potential-free changeover contacts can be programmed for many different applications. They can react to any event outside or inside the Xtender (grid availability, battery voltage, fault message). They can also be programmed as timers or switched during specific times (night, weekends). Therefore, they can be used as generator starting devices, for switching off less important loads, for indicating a fault, for situation-dependent battery charging, etc.
