The philippi AC inverter series DCW is a sine wave inverter for 12 V or 24 V onboard electrical systems that converts DC voltage into pure 230 V sine wave AC voltage and supplies powerful loads such as a microwave, coffee machine or hair dryer. Depending on the variant, it continuously delivers 2,000 W or 3,000 W continuous power up to 40 °C ambient temperature.
- True sine wave with THD < 3 % and around 92 % efficiency – stable voltage and frequency, also for sensitive 230 V devices
- Up to 4 units can be connected in parallel to increase power – flexibly scalable instead of buying a larger model
- Prepared for setting up a 3-phase system for demanding onboard electrical systems
- Connection to the philippi P-Bus for displaying and setting all parameters via the PSM3 and PSL monitors
- Optional Bluetooth interface for monitoring and adjustment directly via smartphone
The philippi AC inverter DCW is based on proven HF technology and therefore achieves high efficiency with reliable continuous operation. The DCW series is available in the versions 12-2400, 12-3600, 24-2400 and 24-3600 – each matching the 12 V or 24 V onboard electrical system, with 2,000 W or 3,000 W continuous power and briefly up to 4,500 W peak power (3 s). The current- and temperature-controlled internal fan keeps the noise level moderate at 54 dBA at a distance of 1 m, while a conformal-coated circuit board and protection class IP23 make the DCW inverter suitable for the marine environment as well.
Typical applications for the philippi DCW inverter are refit projects on motor and sailing yachts where 230 V household appliances are to be operated away from shore power, as well as motorhomes or vehicles with a high AC power requirement. Via the P-Bus connection, the DCW can be integrated seamlessly into an existing philippi P-Bus system and monitored and controlled via a central system monitor together with battery chargers of the ACE series, DC/DC charging boosters or MPPT solar charge controllers.

Compatibility
The philippi AC inverter DCW has a P-Bus connection and can therefore be connected directly to the philippi P-Bus monitors PSM3 and PSL to display and set the operating status and parameters centrally. A Bluetooth interface for display and adjustment via smartphone is optionally available. Choose the 12 V variants (12-2400/12-3600) for 12 V onboard electrical systems and the 24 V variants (24-2400/24-3600) for 24 V onboard electrical systems; for higher power requirements, up to 4 units of the DCW series can be connected in parallel.
Frequently asked questions
Which onboard system voltage is the DCW series suitable for?
The DCW is available either for 12 V onboard electrical systems (input voltage range DC 10.5–16 V) or 24 V onboard electrical systems (DC 21–32 V), each with 2,000 W or 3,000 W continuous power.
Can several DCW inverters be combined for more power?
Yes, up to 4 units of the DCW series can be connected in parallel to increase the total power; the system is also prepared for setting up a 3-phase system.
How can the inverter be monitored or adjusted?
Via the P-Bus connection, the operating status and parameters are displayed and set on the philippi P-Bus monitors PSM3 and PSL; a Bluetooth interface for display and adjustment via smartphone is optionally available.
Is the DCW also suitable for use on boats?
Yes, the circuit board is conformal-coated and therefore suitable for the marine environment; protection class IP23 and a temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C also make the DCW usable in harsh environments.
What is the maximum continuous load for 230 V consumers?
Depending on the variant, the DCW continuously delivers 2,000 W (type 2400) or 3,000 W (type 3600) continuous power, and briefly for 3 seconds up to 3,600 W or 4,500 W peak power.
