The philippi STV 220 switch panel is a 200 series circuit distribution panel that protects 20 circuits in the 12 V and 24 V systems of boats via thermal rocker circuit breakers rated 10 A each. It is the 200 series panel with the most circuits for pure protection without an integrated system monitor and suits yachts with many individual loads.

The STV 220 is suitable for boat projects in which battery or tank monitoring is already handled elsewhere and the focus is instead on the highest possible number of protected circuits – for example on larger yachts or fit-outs with many individual loads. Each of the 20 circuits of the switch panel STV 220 is switched and protected via a thermal rocker circuit breaker with a rated current of 10 A; the protection can be adapted to the desired configuration at no extra cost when ordering.

philippi develops and manufactures the STV 220 in Germany and grants a two-year warranty on its products. For clear wiring, philippi recommends the terminal block RKL 20 (version 20 of the terminal block RKL 10/20).

Why does the STV 220 have no monitor?

The STV 220 is deliberately designed for pure protection, for boats where battery and tank monitoring are already handled elsewhere. If you want to see battery or tank data with a similar number of circuits, the STV 238 (BTM2 monitor) or STV 258 (PSM3 monitor) are suitable alternatives from the 200 series.

Do I need to install separate fuses as well?

No. In the STV 220, switch and fuse are combined in one thermal rocker circuit breaker for each of the 20 circuits. The standard rating is 10 A; 2, 6, 16 or 20 A are optionally available. The protection can be adapted to your preferred configuration at no extra cost when ordering.

Which terminal block fits the STV 220?

philippi recommends the RKL 20 terminal block for the STV 220. It is available as the "20" version of the RKL 10/20 terminal block and keeps the wiring of all 20 circuits clearly organised behind the panel. The STV 220 measures W 210 x H 210 x D 70 mm and fits the 200 series housing grid.

Technology that endures

For our panels, we deliberately use replaceable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their sophisticated design, the components can be replaced quickly and easily, minimizing downtime.

By default, circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed. Alternatively, circuit breakers with currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses superfluous while ensuring a high degree of operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays – a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

Depending on the model, the Series 200 control panel protects between 3 and 24 circuits. Two-pole versions are indicated by the suffix "-2p" in the model name. The exact number of circuits can be found in the product description at the top of this page.

Series 200 switch panels are available for 12V and 24V on-board power systems. When purchasing, ensure you select the correct voltage variant – this is specified in the technical data for each model.

Some models of the 200 series already have an integrated monitor (e.g. BTM2 or PSM3), others are pure circuit distributors without a monitor. Please refer to the product description on this page to see whether your model includes a monitor.

Yes. Philippi products are manufactured and tested in our own factory in Remseck. In the event of a defect, we repair devices as long as spare parts are available – even far beyond the statutory warranty period.
