The T-adapter M12-RJ45 from philippi is an adapter for M12-based P-BUS networks on board that branches an RJ45 network connection off the bus without interrupting the continuous bus line. It is based on the waterproof M12 connector system (DeviceNet™), which is also used for NMEA2000® networks.

To connect the devices to each other, M12-PBUS cables are available from 0.5 m to 10 m; the bus line is terminated by the M12 Terminator.

Does installing the T-adapter interrupt the P-BUS?
No, the T-adapter M12-RJ45 merely branches the RJ45 connection off the bus; the continuous bus line remains uninterrupted.
May I connect the P-BUS directly to an NMEA2000® network?
No. NMEA2000® cables can be used for the P-BUS, but the P-BUS must not be coupled directly to the NMEA2000® system. The connection is made only via the NMEA2000® Bridge CBN.
