The Philippi P-Bus NMEA Interface CBN is an NMEA2000® bridge that makes battery, tank, and other P-Bus data from the Philippi System Monitor available for chartplotters and other NMEA2000®-compatible devices on yachts.

  • Displays onboard network and tank data from the Philippi P-Bus directly on the chartplotter
  • Power supply conveniently via the NMEA2000® network, no separate cable required
  • Includes two M12 T-cables for connection to P-Bus and NMEA2000® network

For safety reasons, the Philippi P-Bus is not an NMEA2000®-certified system and may only be coupled with an NMEA2000® network via the NMEA Bridge CBN – a direct connection is not permitted. The CBN converts P-Bus data into supported NMEA2000® PGNs, allowing battery, tank, and charge statuses to be read on the chartplotter.

Currently, the following PGNs are supported: 127501 (Switch bank status), 127505 (Fluid Level), 127506 (DC Status), 127508 (Battery Status), 127744/127747 (AC Power/Voltage Phase A) and 127750 (Converter Status). Since the display of PGNs depends on the manufacturer and software version of the respective plotter, it should be checked in advance which PGNs are supported by your own device.

Compatibility: The CBN is part of the Philippi P-Bus system and is operated together with the PSM3 or PSL system monitors and other P-Bus components (e.g. shunts, tank senders).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the P-Bus be connected directly to NMEA2000®?
No, the P-Bus is not NMEA2000®-certified and may only be coupled with an NMEA2000® network via the NMEA Bridge CBN.

Are all P-Bus data displayed on the plotter?
The PGNs supported by the CBN (including battery, tank, and AC data) are transmitted; which of these the plotter can display depends on its manufacturer and software version.
