The Philippi Tank Monitor 3.5" VTM 2 is an onboard monitoring device that displays up to 4 tanks and 2 battery banks on a 3.5" TFT touchscreen, supporting all common tank sensors – for boats, yachts, RVs, and vehicles.
- Monitor up to 4 tanks and 2 battery voltages simultaneously without pressing a button
- Compatible with all Philippi tank sensors (TGT/TGW, UTV, TDS/TDN/TDT) as well as third-party sensors (10-180 Ω / 240-33 Ω / 0-3(10) V / 4-20 mA)
- Individual configuration per tank, even for non-linear tank geometries
- Potential-free relay output with freely configurable function, e.g., for alarm messages
- Integrated brightness sensor automatically dims in the dark and saves energy
The Tank Monitor VTM 2 is the consistent further development of Philippi's digital tank monitors and offers a fourth tank display as well as an additional potential-free relay output compared to the smaller BTS-T model. For each connected tank sender, volume, tank type, and sensor type can be stored in the setup; the level display can be individually adapted to non-rectangular tank geometries. If the set alarm thresholds for tank or battery voltage are undershot or exceeded, the VTM 2 reports this via an audible alarm that can be acknowledged.
Thanks to the interval query of the tank senders and the automatic power-save mode below 11.5 V / 23 V, the VTM 2's power consumption remains low even in continuous operation.

The VTM 2 is compatible with all Philippi tank sensors as well as suitable level sensors from other manufacturers. Those who also require an NMEA-2000 connection should opt for the Battery-Tank-Monitor BTM 2.
How many tanks can the VTM 2 monitor?
Up to 4 tanks, in parallel, 2 battery banks voltage-monitored.
What can the relay output control?
The potential-free contact is freely configurable, for example for alarm messages.
Which tank senders can I connect?
All known Philippi tank sensors such as TGT/TGW, UTV, and TDS/TDN/TDT, as well as third-party sensors with 10-180 Ω, 240-33 Ω, 0-3(10) V, or 4-20 mA.
Does the VTM 2 have an NMEA-2000 interface?
No, for an NMEA-2000 connection, the Battery-Tank-Monitor BTM 2 is the suitable alternative.
