The Philippi Two-Channel Deep Discharge Protector TSD 40 is a remote-controlled protection device for 12/24 V onboard power systems. It protects the battery from harmful deep discharge by disconnecting consumers in two stages instead of all at once.

Conventional deep discharge protection devices completely disconnect all connected consumers as soon as the battery's lower voltage limit is reached. The Philippi TSD 40 takes a more differentiated approach in the onboard power system: via two independently adjustable channels, it first disconnects only non-safety-relevant luxury consumers, while important consumers continue to operate. Reconnection occurs automatically at 12.5 V (or 25 V for 24 V operation) as soon as the battery is sufficiently recharged.
