The Panda 5000i PVK-U from Fischer Panda was specially developed for installation in the non-weather-protected underfloor area of vehicles and motorhomes. Unlike interior units, the Panda 5000i PVK-U works with a separately mounted radiator, so the generator unit itself remains compact and lightweight and can be installed even in vehicles with limited underfloor space. The radiator can be housed in another, more accessible location in the vehicle – a clear advantage if the direct installation site of the unit does not allow space for an additional heat exchanger.
At its heart is a water-cooled Kubota EA300 diesel engine with one cylinder and 309 ccm displacement, which is precisely adapted to the respective power requirement thanks to variable speed technology (2,200–2,800 RPM). A downstream inverter ensures a constant output voltage of 230 V at 50 Hz, regardless of the current engine speed. The MPL-4DS sound insulation capsule reduces the noise level to 54 dB(A) at 7 m, 64 dB(A) at 5 m and 68 dB(A) at 1 m distance.
