The Philippi Switch Panel STV 238 is a DC power distributor with an integrated battery/tank monitor BTM2, combining 18 fused circuits and navigation light monitoring for large yachts with many consumers in the 12-/24-V electrical system.

The STV 238 secures 18 circuits via thermal rocker circuit breakers with a 10 A nominal current (optional 2/6/16/20 A). The integrated battery/tank monitor BTM2 displays battery voltage, state of charge, charge/discharge current, and tank levels in real-time on a 3.5" color touchscreen and can be integrated into the onboard network via NMEA 2000. A switch (0-1) allows targeted switching of consumer circuits.

If you want full P-Bus monitoring with access to further system data, the Philippi STV 258 (PSM3) is the suitable alternative. If you operate a metal vessel, you need the two-pole version STV 288-2p with PSL for corrosion protection reasons. The shunt SHE 348 for current measurement is not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.

The BTM 2 combines modern design with powerful technology: a brilliant 3.5” color touch display with automatic brightness adjustment ensures intuitive operation and perfect readability – at all times and under all conditions.

Thanks to the integrated NMEA 2000 interface, all battery and tank data can be seamlessly integrated into the onboard network and conveniently displayed on compatible plotters. At the same time, the BTM 2 impresses with its particularly low standby consumption, allowing it to remain reliably connected to the battery permanently.

Always stay on top of things: precise real-time data on voltage, current, charge status, remaining runtime, and temperature give you full control over your power supply. Solar systems and a wide variety of tank sensors can also be flexibly integrated.

Intelligent alarm and energy management actively protects your battery from deep discharge – ideal, especially for modern lithium systems.

Technology that Endures

For our panels, we deliberately use exchangeable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their sophisticated design, components can be replaced quickly and easily, which reduces downtime to a minimum.

As standard, circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed. Alternatively, circuit breakers with currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses unnecessary and at the same time ensures a high level of operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays – a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

Smart Position Lamp Monitoring – Safety That Thinks With You

A failure does not go unnoticed: Electronic monitoring immediately detects when a light bulb, LED or even a cable connection fails – in real time and absolutely reliably.

In the event of a fault, you receive a clear, direct indication on the display. The affected position lamp is clearly marked so that you can react immediately without searching.

The electronic position lamp monitor detects the failure of a bulb or LED as well as a cable break. A failure is indicated by a flashing LED and an acoustic alarm and can be acknowledged by pressing a button. It works for incandescent bulbs and LEDs, even in combination.

This depends on the model: STV232, 235, 236, 238 and 244 have the BTM2, STV250, 255, 256, 258 and 264 have the PSM3, and STV267, 270, 274 and 284 have the PSL. If you are unsure, our support team will be happy to help you.

Yes, the BTM2 requires the SHE 348 shunt, which measures the consumer or service battery and can also display up to 4 tank sensors.

The STV 234-2p offers pure power distribution without a monitor or navigation light monitoring. The STV 254-2p has 14 circuits and additionally navigation light monitoring (POS 6) as well as a BTM2 or PSM3 monitor.
