The EGIS XD2 (8720-1550) is a remote-controlled dual battery main switch with two independent relays, each rated for 500 A continuous current (1,500 A cranking current). It switches two battery circuits separately from each other and offers a manual emergency override as a fallback. Sealed to IP67/IP6K9K.

Details
The XD2 replaces two individual high-current relays with a compact dual module and thus switches two independent battery circuits – such as starter and house battery – separately by remote control. DIP switches under the protective cover allow undervoltage protection, switching delay and other parameters to be configured for each relay. If the remote control fails, the illuminated 3-position knob takes over manual emergency operation directly on the unit. Since the XD2 is wire-for-wire compatible with Blue Sea ML remote switches, it can be installed as a drop-in replacement in many onboard electrical systems. philippi uses the XD2 where two battery circuits are to be disconnected independently, in a space-saving way and by remote control.
