The Philippi cam switch CA 63A is a manual transfer switch for 230 V on-board networks on yachts, which switches the power source between shore power, generator, and/or inverter. It is used for individual retrofitting of 230 V systems and has a load capacity of 63 A.
- Safe, clear switching between power sources – no accidental parallel operation
- Robust cam switch design for permanent use in control cabinets or panels
- Available as shore-generator, shore-inverter, or shore-generator-inverter variant – suitable for the respective on-board system
- Easy front panel mounting, can be combined with the blanking plate Leer CA for thinner walls
In many yachts with 230 V systems, shore power, generator, and inverter must be switchable to the same consumers as needed. The Philippi cam switch CA 63A performs this switching manually and reliably directly in the control panel. Depending on the version, it switches 1-0-2 between two sources (shore/generator or shore/inverter) or 1-0-2-3 between all three sources.
The cam switch CA 63A is mounted directly into front panels with a maximum wall thickness of 5 mm. For greater wall thicknesses, such as with wooden panels, the matching blanking plate Leer CA is available, which facilitates mounting.
| Version | Type | SKU | Switching function | Front / Installation depth |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shore-Generator | CA 63 A 211 LG | 640422110 | Transfer switch 1-0-2 | 64 x 64 / 56 mm |
| Shore-Inverter | CA 63 A 211 LW | 640422111 | Transfer switch 1-0-2 | 64 x 64 / 56 mm |
| Shore-Generator-Inverter | CA 63 A 251 | 640422510 | Transfer switch 1-0-2-3 | 64 x 64 / 81 mm |
All versions are rated for 63 A. For systems with lower current requirements, Philippi offers the identical cam switch from the CH 16 series with a 25 A load capacity.
Is the CA 63A cam switch also suitable for thin front panels?
The cam switch is designed for front panels up to 5 mm wall thickness. For greater wall thicknesses, such as with wooden panels, the Leer CA blanking plate is also required.
Which variant do I need for my system?
Choose shore-generator if you only want to switch between shore power and generator, shore-inverter for shore power and inverter, or shore-generator-inverter if all three sources are to be available.
Philippi will be happy to advise you on questions regarding the suitable variant for your on-board network configuration. Order now.
