The modern switched-mode power supply technology of the ACE 12/90 allows operation at full rated power even with reduced mains voltages. An integrated soft-start circuit prevents high inrush currents and protects the fuse of the shore power pedestal, while power factor correction ensures low current consumption from the 230 V shore power while maintaining high charging power. When connected to shore power, the Philippi ACE 12/90 also supplies all connected consumers, while the batteries are simultaneously charged with the remaining charging current.
As the most powerful model in the Philippi ACE series (12/90 as well as 24/45, 24/60, 24/80, and 24/100 for 24 V onboard electrical systems), the ACE 12/90 is designed for demanding onboard electrical systems with high charging requirements.
