The Panda 5000i Neo PMS is a water-cooled marine diesel generator with variable speed technology from Fischer Panda for yachts and boats. It delivers 5.0 kVA / 4.0 kW at 230 V / 50 Hz single-phase, is equipped with Fischer Panda's in-house FPE320 engine, and is particularly quiet and light thanks to its compact soundproof capsule. Philippi supplies the Panda 5000i Neo PMS as a complete package for integration into existing on-board networks.
- Low operating costs due to variable speed control: The engine runs load-dependently between 2,500 and 3,250 rpm instead of permanently at a fixed speed – this saves diesel and reduces wear in partial load operation.
- Low weight of only approx. 67 kg (generator incl. capsule) plus 9.5 kg for the inverter – lighter than the classic Panda 5000i PMS, an advantage for refits with limited payload.
- Compact design (434 x 456 x 519 mm) facilitates installation in the engine compartment of smaller and medium-sized yachts, where space is tight.
- Low sound pressure of 68 dB(A) at 1 m distance due to the hermetically sealed water cooling of engine and generator – important for undisturbed overnight comfort on board.
- Constant output voltage and frequency independent of engine speed due to the downstream inverter – sensitive 230 V consumers on board run stably.
The Panda 5000i Neo PMS belongs to Fischer Panda's "Neo" series, in which the manufacturer for the first time uses a completely self-developed diesel engine: the FPE320, a water-cooled single-cylinder with 309 cm³ displacement. This makes the Panda 5000i Neo PMS technically different from its equally powerful sister model, the Panda 5000i PMS, which is based on an external Kubota engine (EA300). Both generators deliver identical 5.0 kVA / 4.0 kW at 230 V, but differ in engine concept, weight and dimensions – Philippi will be happy to advise you on which model is better suited for your boat and installation location.
Typical use scenarios for the Panda 5000i Neo PMS are retrofitting on motor yachts and sailing yachts in the 30 to 45-foot class that require a quiet, compact 230 V generator for air conditioning, coffee machines, chargers, or the galley, as well as new construction projects where weight and installation space play an important role. Since variable speed technology only allows the engine to run as fast as the current electrical load requires, the Panda 5000i Neo PMS is particularly suitable for users who have frequently changing consumer loads and want to save fuel.
Important note: The Panda 5000i Neo PMS is not approved for operation on European inland waterways.

Compatibility
The Panda 5000i Neo PMS supplies 230 V / 50 Hz and can be integrated into an existing onboard network in combination with Philippi onboard network components such as automatic transfer switches for shore power/generator and battery chargers. For boats where engine room size or weight is a priority, the more compact and lighter Panda 5000i Neo PMS is the right choice; those who prefer the established Kubota engine will find the equally powerful Panda 5000i PMS as a suitable alternative in the Philippi range.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Panda 5000i Neo PMS
What distinguishes the Panda 5000i Neo PMS from the Panda 5000i PMS?
Both models deliver identical 5.0 kVA / 4.0 kW at 230 V. The Panda 5000i Neo PMS is equipped with the self-developed Fischer Panda FPE320 engine and is therefore lighter (approx. 67 kg instead of 82 kg) and more compact than the Panda 5000i PMS, which is based on the established Kubota EA300 engine.
Can I use the Panda 5000i Neo PMS on the Rhine or other European inland waterways?
No, the generator is not approved for operation on European inland waterways.
How loud is the Panda 5000i Neo PMS in operation?
Due to the water-cooled, hermetically sealed capsule, the sound level is 68 dB(A) at 1 m distance, 64 dB(A) at 5 m, and 54 dB(A) at 7 m distance.
Can I install the Panda 5000i Neo PMS myself?
The installation of a diesel generator involves fuel, cooling water, and exhaust connections, as well as electrical integration into the onboard network, and should therefore be carried out by a specialized workshop or experienced DIY installers with appropriate experience. Philippi supports with the planning of system integration.
Is there technical support for problems?
Fischer Panda offers a 24-hour hotline for technical questions and malfunctions. Philippi, as a specialist dealer, also provides advice on integration into your onboard network.
