Switchboards Series 200
Philippi Circuit Breaker Panel STV Series 200 – Comfort Panel with Rocker Circuit Breakers for Boats, Yachts & Special Vehicles
The Philippi Series 200 circuit breaker panels are high-quality DC switch panels for installation in protected indoor areas of sailing yachts, motorboats, aluminum and steel vessels, and special vehicles. Individual circuits are switched and protected by E-T-A 3130 thermal rocker circuit breakers. The integrated indicator light shows the operating status of the circuit. In the event of a short circuit, the rocker switch returns to the OFF position and the indicator light goes out.
Briefly explained: The Philippi STV Series 200 combines switching and protection in a single rocker circuit breaker – with intuitive operation, clear status indication, and trip-free operation for maximum operational safety.
What is the Philippi STV Series 200 and what is it used for?
The Philippi STV Series 200 is a DC switch panel for 12V and 24V on-board electrical systems, designed for protected indoor installation on yachts, boats, and vehicles. It is the larger and more comfortable evolution of the Series 100 – with larger rocker circuit breakers, higher standard protection, and a clearer, more structured design.
The Series 200 circuit breaker panels are equipped with E-T-A 3130 thermal circuit breakers. 10 A types are standard, but 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, or 20 A can be used upon request.
Special feature: The circuit breakers have trip-free operation – tripping in the event of a fault cannot be prevented by operating the rocker switch. This ensures reliable line protection even with accidental operation.
How does the Series 200 rocker circuit breaker work?
Each circuit of the Series 200 is switched and protected by an E-T-A 3130 thermal rocker circuit breaker. In normal operation, the integrated indicator light shows the active state. In the event of a short circuit, the rocker switch returns to the OFF position and the indicator light goes out. After the fault has been cleared, the circuit can be put back into operation by switching it on again. No tools, no replacement fuse needed.

Two-pole version for aluminum and steel vessels
Especially for use on aluminum and steel vessels for galvanic isolation from the hull, circuit breaker panels with two-pole rocker circuit breakers are provided. These variants are designated STVxxx-2p and can be combined with the single-pole models as desired due to their identical dimensions to the Series 200 circuit breaker panels.
Which models are available in the Series 200?
The Series 200 is available in numerous configurations – from the smallest panels with 2 circuits to large switch panels with up to 24 circuits and an integrated monitor:
- STV 202 – 2 circuits, also available as a motorboat version with navigation light monitoring
- STV 204 SY – 4 circuits, sailing yacht display with navigation light monitoring and alarm
- STV 210 – 10 circuits
- STV 218 – 7 circuits with BLS battery monitor including SHE 300 shunt
- STV 256 – 14 circuits with PSM system monitor, sailing yacht display, DC and USB socket
- STV 284 – 24 circuits with PSL system monitor, navigation light monitoring, DC and USB socket
All Series 200 models can be combined and expanded horizontally and vertically as desired due to their coordinated dimensions.
Series 200 vs. Series 100 – what's the difference?
| Feature | Series 100 | Series 200 |
|---|---|---|
| Circuit breaker type | E-T-A 1140 (push-button reset) | E-T-A 3130 (rocker circuit breaker) |
| Standard Amperage | 8 A | 10 A |
| Maximum Amperage | 16 A | 20 A |
| Operation in case of fault | Press red button | Re-engage rocker switch |
| Two-pole version | Not available | Available (2p variant) |
| Maximum circuits | Up to 16 circuits | Up to 24 circuits |
| Typical application | Small installation area | Main switch panel, larger yachts |
For which applications is the Philippi STV Series 200 suitable?
- Sailing yachts – Main switch panel below deck, navigation station
- Motorboats & motor vessels – Helm station, switch console
- Aluminum and steel vessels – in the 2-pole version (galvanic isolation, two-pole protection)
- RVs & expedition vehicles – central power distribution
- Special vehicles & workboats – wherever high operational safety is required
Frequently asked questions about the Philippi STV Series 200
What is the difference between Series 100 and Series 200? The Series 200 uses larger rocker circuit breakers (E-T-A 3130 instead of E-T-A 1140), has higher standard protection (10 A instead of 8 A), is available in a 2-pole version for aluminum and steel vessels, and offers more configurations up to 24 circuits.
What does trip-free operation mean? In the event of a fault, the circuit breaker must trip – this cannot be prevented by holding down the rocker switch. This reliably protects the cables even with accidental operation.
Are the Series 200 switch panels suitable for aluminum and steel vessels? Yes, in the 2-pole version (STVxxx-2p). The two-pole rocker circuit breakers enable galvanic isolation from the hull.
In what amperages are the circuit breakers available? Standard 10 A, alternatively without surcharge: 6 A, 16 A, or 20 A. Please specify when ordering.
Can multiple Series 200 panels be combined? Yes. Due to their coordinated dimensions, all Series 200 models can be combined horizontally and vertically as desired.
Can the Series 200 be connected to the P-Bus energy management system? Yes. Selected models (e.g., STV 256, STV 284) are available with integrated P-Bus system monitor PSM2 or PSL.
