The philippi Series 200 circuit distributors are DC switch panels for installation in the protected interior of sailing yachts, motorboats, aluminium and steel vessels and special vehicles. The circuits are switched and protected by E-T-A 3130 series thermal rocker circuit breakers; the integrated indicator light shows the operating state. In the event of a short circuit, the rocker jumps to the off position and the light goes out.

What is the STV Series 200 and what is it used for?

The STV Series 200 is a DC switch panel for 12 V and 24 V systems, designed for protected interior installation on yachts, boats and vehicles. Compared with the Series 100, it offers larger rocker circuit breakers, a higher standard rating and more configurations. E-T-A 3130 10 A circuit breakers are standard; single-pole 2 A, 6 A, 16 A or 20 A are possible on request, double-pole 6 A, 16 A or 20 A.

Special feature: the circuit breakers have trip-free release – switching off in the event of a fault cannot be prevented by holding the rocker. This ensures reliable cable protection even with accidental operation.

Technical features of the STV Series 200

Double-pole version for aluminium and steel vessels

For aluminium and steel vessels, the circuit distributors are available with double-pole rocker circuit breakers. They switch and protect positive and negative, so the hull is never the return conductor. These variants are designated STVxxx-2p and, thanks to identical dimensions, can be freely combined with the single-pole models.

Frequently asked questions about the STV Series 200

What is the difference between Series 100 and Series 200?

The Series 200 uses larger E-T-A 3130 rocker circuit breakers instead of the E-T-A 1140 push-button circuit breakers, has a higher standard rating of 10 A instead of 8 A and goes up to 24 circuits per panel. It is also available as a double-pole version for aluminium and steel vessels. Both series can be combined with each other.

What does trip-free release mean?

In the event of a fault, the circuit breaker always switches off, even if someone is holding or pressing the rocker at that moment. Switching off therefore cannot be prevented by hand. This keeps the cable reliably protected even with accidental or incorrect operation, and an overloaded circuit cannot be forced on.

Are the Series 200 switch panels suitable for aluminium and steel vessels?

Yes, in the double-pole version STVxxx-2p. Its rocker circuit breakers switch and protect the positive and negative pole of every circuit, so the hull never serves as the return conductor and galvanic isolation is maintained. The 2p panels have the same dimensions as the single-pole ones and can be combined with them.

In which current ratings are the circuit breakers available?

10 A is standard. Single-pole circuit breakers are also available with 2, 6, 16 and 20 A, double-pole with 6, 16 and 20 A; individually, 30 A single-pole and a 10 A push button are also available. The cross-section of the cable is decisive; the cable configurator determines the right value.

Can several Series 200 panels be combined?

Yes. All Series 200 models have matched dimensions and can be assembled horizontally and vertically into a larger installation, also with Series 100 panels. The switch panel thus grows when loads are added later; blank plates keep space free until then.

Can the Series 200 be connected to the P-Bus system?

Yes. Selected models such as STV 256 and STV 284 are available with an integrated P-Bus system monitor. Battery, tank and system data then appear directly in the switch panel, and the installation can be integrated into P-Bus energy management. The page P-BUS explains how the system is structured.
