The UTS 25 spacer ring is an accessory for Philippi ultrasonic tank sensors (UTV) that compensates for the system-related dead zone of 2.5 cm below the sensor, thus enabling more reliable level measurement in the on-board network of yachts and motorhomes.

What is the UTS 25 spacer ring needed for?

The top 2.5 cm of an UTV ultrasonic tank sensor's measuring range is inherently unmeasurable – in this area, the transmitted pulse and echo can no longer be separated. The UTS 25 spacer ring from Philippi raises the sensor by exactly these 2.5 cm, so that the dead zone is above the maximum fill level and even a full tank is reliably measured.

The UTS 25 from Philippi is designed for the UTV series ultrasonic tank sensors.

Why is the ring exactly 25 mm high?

Because it precisely compensates for the 2.5 cm dead zone – the sensor is thus positioned so far above the maximum fill level that the entire usable tank area is within the measurable range.
