The philippi waterproof connector 7-pin series 692 is a waterproof circular connector made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic that makes electrical cables in the onboard electrical system of yachts and expedition vehicles disconnectable and is specially designed for wind measuring systems and similar multi-core applications.
- Disconnectable, waterproof connection for wind measuring systems and comparable multi-signal cables
- Glass-fibre-reinforced PBT housing for high durability in marine use and in rough terrain
- Available as cable plug, cable socket, flange plug or flange socket for flexible installation
Waterproof, corrosion-resistant circular connectors are preferably used to disconnect electrical cables on board yachts and in expedition vehicles/motorhomes. The philippi connector series 692 is available with 2, 4 and 7 poles; while the 2-pin and 4-pin versions are used for the supply line to navigation lights, the 7-pin version is used for wind measuring systems and similar applications with several signal lines.
The series 692 circular connectors have been tested by Germanischer Lloyd and are approved for use on water sports vessels for low voltage 230 V/50 Hz and extra-low voltage up to 50 V. The screw connection technology allows simple and secure cable assembly, and the threaded locking ensures a secure plug connection even with vibration and movement on board.
