The philippi waterproof connector 2-pole series 692 is a waterproof circular connector made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic that makes electrical cables in the onboard electrical system of yachts and expedition vehicles separable while providing reliable protection even in wet conditions and salt water.

  • Reliable, detachable connection for 12/24 V onboard electrical system cables, e.g. for the supply to navigation lights
  • Glass-fibre-reinforced PBT housing for high durability in marine use and in rough terrain
  • Available as coupling plug, coupling socket, flange plug or flange socket for flexible installation

For separating electrical cables on board yachts and in expedition vehicles/motorhomes, waterproof, corrosion-resistant circular connectors are preferably used. The philippi connector series 692 is available with 2, 4 and 7 poles; the 2- and 4-pole versions are particularly suitable for the supply to navigation lights, the 7-pole version for wind measuring systems and similar applications.

The circular connectors of the series 692 have been tested by Germanischer Lloyd and are approved for use on watercraft for low voltage 230 V/50 Hz and extra-low voltage up to 50 V. The screw connection technology allows simple and secure cable assembly, and the threaded locking ensures a secure plug connection even with vibration and movement on board.

The connector series 692 is also available in 4-pole and 7-pole versions as well as a 2+PE variant for the 230 V shore power connection. Matching accessories such as angled housings and surface-mount housings for deck mounting of the flange plug/socket as well as a protective cap for unused connections complete the system.

Which applications is the 2-pole series 692 suitable for?

The 2-pole version is mainly used for the supply to navigation lights and other simple loads in the onboard electrical system where a separable, waterproof connection is required.

Is the connector suitable for outdoor use at sea?

Yes, the glass-fibre-reinforced plastic housing and IP67 protection make the series 692 resistant to moisture, salt water and harsh everyday marine conditions.
