The Philippi VHR 200 Isolation Relay is an automatic voltage-dependent and time-delayed switching battery isolation relay for 12V and 24V on-board electrical systems in vehicles and boats, which connects and disconnects two battery banks over 200 Ah as required.

  • Protects the starter battery from unintentional discharge by automatically separating the house battery and the starter battery
  • Time-delayed switching logic (30s on / 10s off) prevents unnecessary fluttering in case of short voltage fluctuations
  • Emergency start function via control button allows jump-starting even with a discharged starter battery
  • Versatile: also usable as an active load relay for enabling consumers during charging operation

In the electrical systems of motorhomes, commercial vehicles, and yachts, the VHR 200 isolation relay ensures that the starter battery and the house battery(s) are connected precisely when the alternator is actually charging. As soon as one of the two batteries is above the switch-on voltage for 30 seconds, the relay connects both circuits; if the voltage drops below the switch-off threshold for 10 seconds, it disconnects them again. This preserves sufficient starting capacity while reliably charging the house battery during driving or engine operation.

Designed for battery banks over 200 Ah, the VHR 200 isolation relay automatically detects whether it is installed in a 12V or 24V electrical system. In addition to its classic use as an isolation relay, it can also be used as an active load relay to specifically enable consumers during charging operation.
