The Philippi LB 80 high-current connector is a connector for DC high-current lines in the on-board electrical system, enabling the safe disconnection and connection of lines with up to 80 A – for example, with outboard motors, wind generators, solar modules or powerful electric drives on board and in off-road use.

The Philippi LB 80 is designed for a rated current of 80 A at a rated voltage of up to 96 V, making it suitable for powerful 24V and 48V on-board electrical systems. The impact-resistant and weather-resistant housing made of glass-fibre reinforced polyamide (PA6, GF 30) makes the connector robust enough for outdoor use on yachts, motorhomes and off-road vehicles; according to the dealer data sheet, it is approved for a temperature range of -25 °C to +90 °C. The contacts made of silver-plated electrolytic copper (E-Cu) are snapped into place using the snap-in system and can be both crimped and soldered, with connection cross-sections up to 25 mm².

The handle for comfortable operation is optionally available and can be mounted on either the plug or the coupling socket. In combination with the matching holder, the plug connection is secured in the on-board electrical system in a vibration-resistant and permanently safe manner.
