TCP Panel Mount Circuit Breaker 25A-150A

The TCP is a panel mount circuit breaker from Blue Sea Systems' 285 series, offering thermal overcurrent protection for circuits from 25A to 150A. It is a direct replacement for the older 185 series and, thanks to its high breaking capacity, is also suitable as a main fuse for medium-sized battery banks.

Advantages

  • Highly visible yellow reset lever clearly indicates tripped condition
  • Trip-Free design: cannot be held in the ON position after tripping
  • Direct replacement (drop-in replacement) for the 185 series
  • 3,000A interrupt capacity at 48V DC – sufficient for medium battery banks
  • M6 terminal studs, suitable for 1/4" ring terminals
  • IP67 protection – protected against temporary submersion up to 1m for 30 minutes

Which Amperage Variant Suits Which Consumer?

Smaller sizes (25A-60A) are suitable for individual large consumers such as auxiliary heaters or smaller motors, medium sizes (70A-100A) for anchor winches or bow thrusters, while the larger sizes (120A-150A) are designed as main fuses for the battery bank of a medium-sized onboard electrical system.
