The BWS 303 battery selector switch from the Blue Sea Systems m-series selects between two starting batteries for motorboats. Unlike the BWS 304, it does not have a "combine" position – the battery banks remain strictly isolated from each other in every switch position.
Advantages
- 3 switch positions: Battery 1, Battery 2, or OFF
- Battery banks remain electrically isolated in all positions – no accidental paralleling
- Tin-plated copper studs for maximum conductivity and corrosion protection
- One-piece stud design that won't loosen under vibration
- Insulating cover protects rear contacts, label set included
Technical Data & Compatibility
- Switch function: Selector 3 Position – switches isolated battery banks to all consumers, without a combine function
- Continuous current: 300 A
- Peak current: 900 A / 30 sec. (Intermittent 5 min.: 500 A)
- Voltage: max. 32 V DC
- Mounting type: universal flush, surface, or panel mount
- Connections: Studs for 3/8" (M10) ring terminals, cables up to 4/0 AWG (120 mm²)
What application is the BWS 303 suitable for?
The BWS 303 is suitable for on-board electrical systems where two starting batteries must remain strictly separate and no paralleling option is desired – for example, if different battery types or capacities are installed that should not be discharged together.
This makes it a simple, safe alternative to the BWS 304 for anyone who only wants to switch between two batteries but not combine them.
