cable clutter on the main circuit.

Battery master switches, fuse rails, and busbars are no longer individually wired but directly bolted together using suitable copper lugs. This results in less installation time, fewer sources of error, and currents up to 250 A.

The problem

High-current installation costs space, time — and nerves

  • 01

    Mechanical Differences

Main switches, fuses, and busbars rarely fit together directly—each connection becomes a unique piece.

  • 02

    Pre-assembled Flexible Cables

Every construction site needs custom-made cables. This takes up workshop time and makes each system unique.

  • 03

    Positional and Error Risk

Loose cable routing in the high-current area requires installation space and increases the risk of loose or incorrectly sized connections.

The system

A modular system that fits together — instead of being bent into shape.

The Power Install System directly connects main switches, fuse rails, and busbars using precisely fitting copper links. By combining several components, a compact main power distribution for starter and house batteries is created — optionally expandable with an emergency switch for engine start via the house battery or a charging relay. Mechanical or remote-controlled main switches (FBA / TSA / FBC) are used; fuse blocks can be added to the side for protecting continuous positive consumers.

Compact power distribution with all fuses

The depicted setup shows a manual master switch for the battery: All low-power consumers and the PSU are connected to its permanent positive. A remote-controlled master switch follows, to which inverters and other high-power consumers are connected — these can be conveniently switched off remotely when not in use.

This negative busbar integrates battery and energy shunts directly into the busbar itself — for a particularly compact and space-saving design.

Areas of application

The right basis for every onboard power supply situation.

  • New Yacht Construction

Compact main power distribution planned from the outset – saves installation space in the engine compartment and reduces wiring effort in series production.

  • Refit Projects

Replace existing, loosely wired main circuits with a screwed, tested system — without redesigning the entire system.

  • Motorhome Base

Compact and easy to maintain main switch and fuse for starter and consumer battery in the vehicle.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is the Power Install System (PIS)?

The Power Install System is our modular main distribution system for high-current components. Instead of connecting main switches, fuses, and busbars individually with flexible cables, the components are mechanically interconnected directly via suitable copper lugs - compact, stable, and without loose wiring.

The system is designed for boats, RVs, campers, and commercial vehicles – wherever starter and auxiliary batteries need to be separately protected and distributed.

You save considerably on space, installation time, and costs. Since all connections are made securely via copper lugs instead of individual cable lugs, the susceptibility to errors is reduced and safety is increased.

The PIS includes mechanical or remote-controlled main switches (FBA / TSA / FBC), fuse blocks and rails (e.g. EBF, ESF), busbars (EMS), and connecting rails (EBV, SDV-N) – all precisely matched to each other.

Yes. Depending on the application, classic mechanical main switches (FBA/TSA) or remotely controllable versions (FBC) can be used and freely combined in the system.

The PIS uses specially developed material with UL94 V-0 certification. This ensures high mechanical strength and pronounced flame retardancy for continuous use in demanding electrical systems.

Yes. By combining several components, the main power distribution for the starter and house battery can also be supplemented with an emergency switch for engine start via the house battery – alternatively with a charging relay.

Thanks to the plug-in principle, installation is significantly faster than traditional wiring. For the initial installation, we still recommend a specialist company, which particularly benefits from the reduced installation time and the clear system architecture.

Yes. The PIS is designed as a modular system and can be combined with existing Philippi fuses, switch panels and control components.
