The Power Relay DC 250A 12/24V (Blue Sea Systems L-Series Solenoid Switch 9012) is a hermetically sealed, vapor-proof remote-controlled relay for high continuous currents. It is remotely operated via a separate, low-dimensioned control circuit and is also suitable for installation on board gasoline-powered boats thanks to its ignition-protected design.

Why is a power relay like the DC 250A 12/24V needed?

Whenever high continuous currents of 250 A and more need to be switched remotely, but a manual main switch is already present elsewhere in the circuit. Due to its ignition-protected and hermetically sealed design, the relay is also approved for use in gasoline-powered boats.
