What is the BS 9160 paralleling link bus suitable for?
The BS 9160 is used when the current carrying capacity of a single ML-Series battery switch or charger (ACR) is not sufficient for the application. By connecting two units in parallel via the link bus, the total current carrying capacity can be increased to up to 500 A continuous power, for example with very powerful starters or several large battery banks.
If a single ML-Series switch reaches its performance limit, the BS 9160, together with a second switch, creates the necessary reserve.
