Can we only buy the air conditioner, without installation?
We generally offer the systems in combination with our installation service. This is the only way we can ensure that the system is correctly installed and matched to your vehicle. Just contact us – together we will find the best solution for you.
What is the difference between OpenAir and OpenAir PLUS?
Both are 12V roof-mounted air conditioners for vehicles up to 7 m in length with the same compact outdoor unit. The OpenAir PLUS is the newer generation: it consumes significantly less power on average (around 10 A instead of 14.2 A), uses the environmentally friendly R-1234yf refrigerant, has a remote control with display plus app control (Bluetooth, iOS/Android), RGB ambient lighting, and new electric air diffusers. We will find the right model for your application during our consultation.
How long does the air conditioner run on battery power?
That depends on the cooling capacity, outside temperature, and your battery capacity. We dimension the battery and, if necessary, the solar system so that the desired runtime – for example, an entire night – is realistically achieved. This is part of our planning before we order anything.
Can the system be retrofitted?
In many cases, yes. This depends on the vehicle, available space, and electrical system. Send us some details about your vehicle – we will check the possibilities and get back to you with an honest assessment.
Which vehicles is the system suitable for?
