The Balmar Universal Adjustment Arm (UAA) is a precision-manufactured, powder-coated adjustment arm for adjusting the V-belt tension on the alternator. It replaces a missing, damaged or inaccurate original adjustment arm with a durable, corrosion-resistant solution and forms the basis for exact, reproducible belt tension.

Is the adjustment arm alone sufficient, or do I need more?

The UAA alone already improves the stability and precision of belt adjustment compared to many original adjustment arms. However, for a truly positive stop against belt slipping, you should combine it with the Belt Buddy (BB) – or go directly for the pre-assembled UBB complete system if you are installing both components new anyway.

The UAA is particularly suitable for anyone whose existing adjustment arm is damaged, worn or inaccurate and who is looking for a high-quality, durable replacement solution without necessarily buying the complete tensioning system new.
