The EGIS XD (9811-4500) is a remote-controlled battery main switch for 500 A continuous current with an integrated NMEA 2000 interface. This allows the switching state and battery voltage to be displayed and controlled directly on compatible plotters and displays in the onboard electrical system. Sealed to IP67/IP6K9K.

Details

Via the NMEA 2000 interface, the XD integrates seamlessly into existing onboard networks: switching commands, switching state and battery voltage are transmitted digitally and shown on compatible multifunction displays – in addition to the classic, discrete analogue control. This allows battery isolation to be monitored centrally from the helm without having to look into the engine compartment. For situations without network access, the manual override on the unit remains available. philippi recommends the XD with NMEA 2000 for onboard electrical systems that already handle battery management digitally via NMEA 2000.

What does the NMEA 2000 connection display?
Via NMEA 2000, the switching state and battery voltage of the switch can be displayed on compatible plotters and displays in the onboard electrical system, and the switch can also be operated from there.

Does the switch also work without an NMEA 2000 network?
Yes, in addition to the digital control, a manual override with visual status indicator is available directly on the unit.
