The Philippi STV 258 is a panel (circuit distributor) from the 200 series with 18 circuits and an integrated PSM3 system monitor for central on-board electrical system, battery, and tank monitoring on larger sailing and motor yachts. It is designed for 12 V and 24 V on-board electrical systems and can be expanded with additional P-Bus components.

The STV 258 is part of the Philippi 200 series of circuit distributors and performs the three central functions of switching on/off, fusing via thermal rocker circuit breakers, and optical function display for each of the 18 circuits. Instead of fuses, Philippi consistently uses circuit breakers: After a short circuit, the affected circuit can simply be switched on again without having to search for the correct replacement fuse.
The heart of the panel is the PSM3 system monitor, which centrally displays battery and tank data as well as the status of the on-board electrical system and provides full access to the P-Bus system. If you want to expand your P-Bus system later, the STV 258 is the right choice; if, however, a pure battery/tank monitoring without later expansion is sufficient, the identically constructed STV 238 with the simpler BTM2 monitor is the more affordable alternative.

The STV 258 is part of the Philippi 200 series and can be combined with suitable P-Bus components and the SHE shunt for battery monitoring; these are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately. Identically constructed alternatives of the same size are the STV 238 (BTM2 monitor) and the STV 264 with 24 circuits.
