The Philippi Bavaria Refit Panel 303 is a 1:1 replacement panel for power distribution on Bavaria sailing yachts, replacing a permanently screwed-in original Panel 303 without modification and displaying battery, tank, and consumer data on an illuminated monitor. It connects via the existing on-board cable connector and a pre-assembled wiring harness.

The Philippi Bavaria Refit Panel 303 is aimed at Bavaria owners whose original panel can no longer reliably display battery charge status or whose switches no longer function properly. Since only the visible control unit is replaced and the included wiring harness is already equipped with the appropriate connectors, the on-board electrics remain easily accessible, and maintenance as well as later expansions of the on-board network remain simple.

Battery management for lithium or lead-acid batteries is carried out via a shunt near the consumer battery. Optionally, solar data can also be displayed with an additional shunt, and a remote-controlled main switch can implement deep discharge protection or the early disconnection of luxury consumers.

Compatibility: For Panel 303, the TIL tank interface is additionally required, as bundle probes are installed in the boat. If two holding tanks are installed, the TIL2 is also required. No TIL is required for the SE-TFT panel, as the tank sensors are connected directly to the monitor there (10–180 Ω).

Does the Bavaria Refit Panel 303 fit as a direct replacement for my existing panel?

Yes, it has identical dimensions to the original, permanently screwed-in Bavaria Panel 303. Only the visible control unit is replaced and connected to the existing on-board cable connector.

Do I need an additional tank interface?

For Panel 303, the TIL tank interface is required, as bundle probes are installed in the boat. If two holding tanks are installed, the TIL2 is also required.

Can I also monitor my solar system?

Yes, solar data can optionally be displayed with an additional shunt.

Our REFIT panels have been specially developed for 1:1 replacement of the original panels. Thanks to the precisely replicated dimensions and mounting points, they fit perfectly into existing cutouts and mounting systems.

Existing screws, fasteners, and installation locations can continue to be used. This means that no enlargement of cutouts and no elaborate modifications are necessary. Remove original panel, insert REFIT panel – simple, quick, and perfectly fitting.

BTM 2 – The smart battery, tank, and charging monitor for maximum control

The BTM 2 combines modern design with powerful technology: a brilliant 3.5” color touch display with automatic brightness adjustment ensures intuitive operation and perfect readability – at all times and under all conditions.

Thanks to the integrated NMEA 2000 interface, all battery and tank data can be seamlessly integrated into the onboard network and conveniently displayed on compatible plotters. At the same time, the BTM 2 impresses with its particularly low standby consumption, so it can remain reliably connected to the battery permanently.

Precise real-time data on voltage, current, state of charge, remaining runtime, and temperature give you full control over your power supply. Solar systems and various tank sensors can also be flexibly integrated.

Intelligent alarm and energy management actively protects your battery from deep discharge – ideal, especially for modern lithium systems.

Technology that endures

For our panels, we deliberately rely on replaceable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their well-thought-out design, the components can be replaced quickly and easily, which reduces downtime to a minimum.

Circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed as standard. Alternatively, circuit breakers with
currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses superfluous and simultaneously ensures a high level of
operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays.

Plug and play instead of rewiring

Our REFIT panels are supplied with a suitable wiring harness, allowing for particularly easy retrofitting. Existing connections can be directly re-plugged, so there is no need to lay new cables or make extensive adjustments to the wiring.

This significantly reduces installation effort, saves time, and enables quick replacement while achieving a professional result.

A refit panel replaces your yacht's existing original switch panel with a modern electrical system including battery and tank monitoring – without extensive modifications.

No. The Refit panel comes with a completely pre-assembled wiring harness that is already equipped with the appropriate 14-pin and 6-pin connectors. All that is required is to connect both plugs to the existing on-board system.

BAV301 replaces panels with hinges (original C38, C42), BAV303 replaces fixed screwed panels. BAV16 and BAV20 are intended for sailing yachts built around 2000 with the original panel 16 or 20 respectively. The STV726 (BMB16 Refit) replaces the 15-way panel of BMB motor yachts built between 2000 and 2004.

The retrofit panels are equipped with a 3.5" touch display and the BTM2 monitor. The necessary SHE 348 shunt must be ordered separately, depending on the model. The TIL tank interface is available for fresh and waste water tanks; an additional TIL#2 is required for a second waste water tank.
