The Charging Relay ACR Mini (Blue Sea Systems m-ACR) is an isolation relay for automatic charging current distribution between two battery banks. It automatically connects the batteries as soon as a charging source, such as the alternator, provides voltage, and disconnects them again as soon as there is no longer any charge or the consumers draw more current than is being charged. This way, the start and auxiliary batteries share a common charging source but remain reliably isolated when discharging.

  • Disconnect voltage 12.75 V (after 30 sec.) or 12.35 V (after 10 sec.)
  • Undervoltage lockout 9.5 V DC, Overvoltage lockout 16.0 V DC (12V operation)
  • Cable cross-section up to 6 AWG (16 mm²), maximum 1/0 AWG (50 mm²); Connection studs 1/4"-20 (M6)
  • Protection class IP67, ignition protected according to ISO 8846 and SAE J1171

When is the ACR Mini worthwhile for on-board power supply?

Whenever two battery banks – such as a start and house battery – need to be charged via a common alternator with up to 65 A, without sensitive electronics being endangered by voltage fluctuations during engine start. The ACR Mini is therefore particularly suitable for smaller boats and vehicles with manageable charging current requirements.
