The Philippi STV 254-2p is the two-pole switch panel (circuit distributor) of the 200 series with 14 circuits, integrated PSM3 system monitor and hull control – especially for aluminum and steel ships, where galvanic isolation protects against stray current corrosion.

The STV 254-2p handles switching on/off, circuit protection via two-pole thermal toggle circuit breakers, and function display for each of the 14 circuits. The two-pole design ensures, through galvanic isolation, that the metal hull of aluminum and steel ships is protected from stray current corrosion – a key difference from single-pole switch panels of the 200 series.

The integrated PSM3 system monitor is the central display and control unit for battery, tank, and onboard power status with full access to the expandable P-Bus system. If simpler battery/tank monitoring without P-Bus expansion is sufficient for you, the identically constructed STV 234-2p with the BTM2 monitor is the more affordable alternative.

The STV 254-2p is part of the Philippi 200 series and can be combined with shunts and interfaces of the P-Bus system, which are not included and must be ordered separately. A simpler variant, the STV 234-2p with BTM2 monitor, is also available.

What is the difference between the STV 254-2p and the STV 234-2p?

The STV 254-2p is equipped with the PSM3 system monitor for full P-Bus monitoring, while the STV 234-2p has the simpler BTM2 battery-tank monitor.

For galvanic isolation on aluminum and steel ships – this protects the hull from corrosion caused by stray currents.

The PSM3 is far more than a classic battery or tank monitor: it thinks along with you. Depending on the connected P-BUS components, it displays exactly the information you truly need – clearly structured on a high-quality touchscreen with a glass front.

Setup? Directly on the device. You can configure your system intuitively and in just a few steps, without needing an additional computer.

Only relevant areas appear in the clear main menu. In seven logically structured submenus, you maintain full control at all times over:

batteries, tanks, temperatures, energy flows (AC/DC), main switches, consumers, and bilge pumps.

The PSM3 makes complex onboard technology easy to operate – intelligent, flexible, and precisely tailored to your requirements.

Technology that Endures

For our panels, we deliberately use exchangeable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their sophisticated design, components can be replaced quickly and easily, which reduces downtime to a minimum.

As standard, circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed. Alternatively, circuit breakers with currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses unnecessary and at the same time ensures a high level of operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays – a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

Smart Position Lamp Monitoring – Safety That Thinks With You

A failure does not go unnoticed: Electronic monitoring immediately detects when a light bulb, LED or even a cable connection fails – in real time and absolutely reliably.

In the event of a fault, you receive a clear, direct indication on the display. The affected position lamp is clearly marked so that you can react immediately without searching.

The electronic position lamp monitor detects the failure of a bulb or LED as well as a cable break. A failure is indicated by a flashing LED and an acoustic alarm and can be acknowledged by pressing a button. It works for incandescent bulbs and LEDs, even in combination.

This depends on the model: STV232, 235, 236, 238 and 244 have the BTM2, STV250, 255, 256, 258 and 264 have the PSM3, and STV267, 270, 274 and 284 have the PSL. If you are unsure, our support team will be happy to help you.

Yes, the BTM2 requires the SHE 348 shunt, which measures the consumer or service battery and can also display up to 4 tank sensors.

The STV 234-2p offers pure power distribution without a monitor or navigation light monitoring. The STV 254-2p has 14 circuits and additionally navigation light monitoring (POS 6) as well as a BTM2 or PSM3 monitor.
