The STV 220 switch panel is a circuit distributor from Philippi that protects 20 circuits in 12V and 24V on-board electrical systems of boats via thermal rocker circuit breakers. It is the most powerful pure protection solution in the 200 series without an integrated system monitor.

The STV 220 is suitable for boat projects where battery or tank monitoring is already handled by other means, and the focus is instead on the highest possible number of protected circuits – for example, on larger yachts or conversions with many individual consumers. Each of the 20 circuits of the STV 220 switch panel is switched and protected by a thermal rocker circuit breaker with a nominal current of 10 A; the protection can be adjusted to your desired configuration at no extra cost when ordering.

Philippi develops and manufactures the STV 220 in Germany and provides a two-year warranty on its products. For clear wiring, Philippi recommends the RKL 20 terminal block.

Why doesn't the STV 220 have a monitor?

The STV 220 is deliberately designed for pure protection. For those who want to see battery or tank data in addition to a similar number of circuits, suitable alternatives from the 200 series are available with the STV 238 (monitor BTM2) or STV 258 (monitor PSM3).

Do I need to install separate fuses in addition?

No, with the STV 220, the switch and fuse are combined in one component for each of the 20 circuits.

Which terminal block is suitable for the STV 220?

For our panels, we deliberately use replaceable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their sophisticated design, the components can be replaced quickly and easily, minimizing downtime.

By default, circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed. Alternatively, circuit breakers with currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses superfluous while ensuring a high degree of operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays – a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

Depending on the model, the Series 200 control panel protects between 3 and 24 circuits. Two-pole versions are indicated by the suffix "-2p" in the model name. The exact number of circuits can be found in the product description at the top of this page.

Series 200 switch panels are available for 12V and 24V on-board power systems. When purchasing, ensure you select the correct voltage variant – this is specified in the technical data for each model.

Some models of the 200 series already have an integrated monitor (e.g. BTM2 or PSM3), others are pure circuit distributors without a monitor. Please refer to the product description on this page to see whether your model includes a monitor.

Yes. Philippi products are manufactured and tested in our own factory in Remseck. In the event of a defect, we repair devices as long as spare parts are available – even far beyond the statutory warranty period.
