The Philippi RCE charging current distributor from Studer is the electronic further development of the conventional battery isolation diode. Instead of the battery-damaging and energy-wasting voltage drops of classic diodes, the RCE's MOS-FET technology ensures that all connected battery banks are supplied with the required charging voltage and the maximum available current – simultaneously and without mutual interference.
The RCE charging current distributor is suitable for standard and non-self-exciting alternators up to 180 A and works independently of the battery technology used, from classic lead-acid to LiFePO4 batteries. Two versions with M8 screw terminals are available for connection to two or three separate battery banks.
