The Philippi Shore Power Unit LAE 230 is a shore power unit for AC 230 V / 50 Hz mains power supply to the on-board electrical system of boats and yachts, additionally providing sub-protection for two consumer circuits. It is suitable for boat owners and outfitters who want to separately protect downstream 230 V circuits in addition to pure shore power connection.
- Residual current and personal protection by the 2-pole RCBO (RCD/MCB) circuit breaker 16 A / 0.03 A
- Two additional 2-pole MCB miniature circuit breakers (10 A) for sub-protection of two consumer circuits
- Waterproof plastic housing with hinged lid (IP 65) for installation in damp areas on board
- Mains indicator lamp shows the mains status at a glance
The LAE 230 from Philippi takes over the mains power supply with AC 230 V / 50 Hz and simultaneously protects two downstream consumer circuits via their own MCB miniature circuit breakers. The connections are internal, directly at the terminals of the circuit breakers; cable entry is via cable glands. The waterproof plastic housing with hinged lid complies with protection class IP 65 and is therefore suitable for installation in exposed areas on board.
If shore power connectors are installed at the bow and stern of a yacht, Philippi recommends a bow-stern changeover switch so that the unused feed remains de-energized.
