The POS 6 navigation light monitoring module is a Philippi module for monitoring navigation lights in the on-board electrical system of yachts, which monitors up to six navigation lights simultaneously and immediately reports the failure of a light bulb, LED, or a cable interruption. It is suitable for 12V and 24V on-board electrical systems.

Functioning navigation lights in the dark are a fundamental safety requirement for every watercraft. The Philippi POS 6 simultaneously monitors up to six lights – port, starboard, stern, masthead, anchor, and tricolor lights – and detects both the failure of the light source and a cable interruption. When functioning correctly, assigned LEDs on the display show the status of each light; if a light fails, the corresponding indicator light flashes and an audible signal sounds, which can be acknowledged via a button.
The POS 6 navigation light monitoring module can be retrofitted into existing systems at any time and is suitable for setting up individual navigation light monitoring systems with separate electronics. If more than six lights are required, multiple modules can be used in parallel. The POS 6 is also the electronic basis for numerous Philippi Series 100 and 200 circuit distributors, which offer integrated navigation light monitoring with an alarm.
