The Philippi Battery and Tank Monitor BTM 2 is a combined onboard monitoring device that displays battery voltage, state of charge, current, and tank levels on a 3.5" color touchscreen and can be directly integrated into your onboard network via an integrated NMEA 2000 interface – for boats, yachts, motorhomes, and vehicles.

The BTM 2 is the advanced version of the proven BTM battery and tank monitor and precisely measures the current voltage, charging/discharging current, remaining time, temperature, and state of charge of the consumer battery via the SHE 348 shunt; additionally, the voltages of up to two starter or bow batteries can be monitored. New features compared to the previous model include operation with 12–48 V operating voltage and the standard NMEA 2000 interface, through which all battery and tank data can also be displayed on a compatible plotter.
For tank monitoring, the Philippi BTM 2 supports all known tank sensors such as TGT/TGW, UTV, TDS/TDN, and DFS, as well as third-party sensors with signals 10-180 Ω, 240-33 Ω, 0-5 V, 0-10 V or 4-20 mA – each tank can be individually configured, even for non-linear tank geometries. Especially with lithium battery systems with their flat discharge curve, the potential-free relay contact in combination with the remote-controlled main switch FHR 265 is valuable, as consumers can be shut off early before a threatening deep discharge. All sensors and devices can be connected at a central point via the Connect HUB and routed to the display with only one cable.

The BTM 2 is compatible with all Philippi tank sensors, the remote-controlled main switch FHR 265, the power measurement shunt SHP 348 for solar monitoring, and ACE series chargers. For connection to a Raymarine network via SeaTalk, an additional Raymarine adapter cable Seatalk/NMEA 2000 (A06045) is required.
Is the shunt included?
No, the SHE 348 shunt is not included with the BTM 2 and must be ordered separately.
Can I also monitor my solar system?
Yes, with an additional power measurement shunt SHP 348, the BTM 2 also displays the current yield of your solar panels.
What is the easiest way to connect sensors and devices?
Via the Connect HUB – it bundles all connections and routes only a single cable to the display.
What do I need for NMEA 2000 connectivity?
In addition to the BTM 2, the N2K cable is required, which establishes the connection to your NMEA 2000 onboard network via a T-piece.
