Class-T Fuses for High Current Applications
Class-T fuses are high-performance melting fuses for protecting onboard electrical systems with large battery banks, lithium-ion and TPPL batteries, and inverters. With a breaking capacity of 20,000 A at 125 V DC, they are among the most powerful fuses for onboard installations in marine and off-road applications, reliably protecting cables and consumers from overload, even with very high short-circuit currents.
Advantages
- Extremely fast response in case of short circuit due to high breaking capacity
- Breaking capacity of 20,000 A at 125 V DC – suitable for large battery banks, lithium-ion and TPPL batteries
- Recommended by most inverter manufacturers
- UL listed according to Standard 248-15
- Wide amperage selection from 110 A to 600 A for different power classes in the onboard electrical system
- Compatible with appropriate Class-T fuse holders for safe, standard-compliant onboard installation

Which Class-T fuse fits which fuse holder?
For amperage levels from 110 A to 200 A, the 5007100 fuse holder (M6 connecting bolt, up to 160 A operating current) is used. For levels from 225 A to 400 A, the 5502100 fuse holder is intended, which is designed for up to 320 A operating current and is ignition-protected according to ISO 8846/SAE J1171, provided the cover is correctly closed. The high-current variants from 450 A to 600 A belong in the 778-T2S-600B fuse holder. This allows selecting the appropriate combination of fuse and holder for every application – from inverters to protecting the main battery circuit.
