Battery and Tank Monitoring on One Display – for Boats, Yachts, RVs, and Vehicles
The BTM 2 is the central display for battery and tank monitoring on board. On an intuitive 3.5″ color touchscreen, you can keep an eye on battery voltage, state of charge, current, and tank levels in real-time – ideal for boats, yachts, RVs, campers, and vehicles. As a battery monitor and tank monitor in one device, the BTM 2 replaces multiple individual displays and can be integrated directly into your onboard network thanks to NMEA 2000.
NMEA 2000
For connection to the NMEA2000 network, the N2K cable is additionally required. The plug-in cable connects via a T-piece (5 0411 1149) to an NMEA 2000 onboard network. If connection to a Raymarine network via Seatalk is desired, an additional Raymarine adapter cable Seatalk/NMEA 2000 must be installed (please order from Raymarine - A06045).
Battery Monitoring
Precise battery information on current voltage, charge/discharge current, remaining time, temperature, and state of charge of the consumer battery. Historical values on the number of charge cycles, deep discharges, and average depth of discharge give you an overview of battery usage. Monitoring of voltages for up to 2 starter or bow batteries is possible.
The SHE 348 shunt is not included in the scope of delivery of the BTM2 - please order separately!
Solar Yield Measurement
If one or more solar panels are to be monitored in addition, you can display the current yield of your solar panels with the help of a power measurement shunt SHP348.
Tank Measurement
All known Philippi tank sensors such as TGT/ TGW, UTV, TDS/TDN and DFS can be connected, as well as existing tank sensors from other manufacturers with signals 10-180Ω / 240-33Ω / 0-5 V / 0-10 V / 4-20 mA. Each tank can be individually configured for clear assignment, and adaptation to non-linear tank geometries is also possible. Individual tank alarms can be defined for monitoring.
Alarm/Relay Contact
Also new is the potential-free changeover contact, which, in conjunction with a remote-controlled battery main switch FHR 265, enables voltage- and, importantly, capacity-dependent energy management and deep discharge protection. This allows consumers to be switched off early before impending deep discharge, and not only when the battery is deeply discharged. This is particularly important for lithium battery systems, whose flat discharge curve makes timely voltage shutdown impossible.
The tank sensors, the "SHE x48" shunt and the NMEA 2000 connection cable “N2K cable” or the FHR265 relay must be ordered separately.
