The Philippi pushbutton switch/momentary switch WS22RG/WT22RG is a two-color red/green illuminated stainless steel switch for weatherproof installation in control panels of yachts, motorhomes, and vehicles in outdoor areas.
- Stainless steel design with IP67 protection rating on the front – withstands splashing water and rain
- Silicone cap prevents mechanical blockages due to saltwater crusts
- Two-color LED (red/green) for clear status indication directly on the control panel
- Plug-in connection cable saves time during installation
The Philippi pushbutton switch/momentary switch WS22RG/WT22RG is used where conventional switches are not able to withstand saltwater, UV radiation, and mechanical stress in outdoor areas – for example, at the helm of a sailing yacht, on the driver's console of a motorhome, or on the outer console of a motorboat. The switch is available as a latching version (WS22RG, switch) or as a momentary version (WT22RG, momentary switch) and is suitable for all DC loads in 12/24V electrical systems that are switched directly or via a relay.
With an installation diameter of 22 mm, the Philippi pushbutton switch/momentary switch fits into common control panel cutouts for panel thicknesses of 1–6 mm. The two-color LED can be controlled potential-free, so that, for example, red night lighting can be combined with a green function indicator.
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| Installation diameter | 22 mm |
| Panel thickness | 1–6 mm |
| Protection rating (front) | IP67 |
| LED supply voltage | DC 12/24 V |
| Current carrying capacity of switching contact (NO/NC) | 5 A |
| Connection | pluggable connection cable, 20 cm |
| Scope of delivery | Silicone cap against saltwater crusts |
Available as a latching switch (SKU 520222210) or momentary switch (SKU 520222200), both without symbols for individual labeling. Fits all Philippi control panels and circuit distributors in the 22 mm standard grid.
Is the difference between a switch and a momentary switch important?
Yes: The latching switch (WS22RG) clicks into place and remains in the switched position, while the momentary switch (WT22RG) only switches as long as it is pressed – for example, for horn or up/down functions.
Is the pushbutton switch suitable for outdoor use on a yacht?
Yes, due to the IP67 protection rating on the front and the included silicone cap, it is specially designed for weatherproof installation in outdoor areas of motor and sailing yachts.
