The Balmar UBB is a pre-assembled complete system consisting of a Universal Adjustment Arm (UAA) and a Belt Buddy (BB), providing both components of belt tension as a ready-to-install unit. This significantly saves installation time, as the adjustment arm and tensioning mechanism no longer need to be individually mounted and coordinated.

Do I need UAA, BB, or UBB directly?

If your alternator does not yet have an adjustment arm or if you are rebuilding the entire tensioning system anyway, the UBB is the most time-saving solution: you install an already combined unit instead of painstakingly coordinating two individual parts. If a functional adjustment arm is already present, the separate Belt Buddy (BBU) is sufficient.

Area of Application

The UBB is primarily aimed at new installers and shipyards who want to save time during new assembly or a complete overhaul of the alternator mount and immediately install a coordinated, high-quality belt tensioning system.
