The Balmar ARS-5-H is a 12-volt multi-stage regulator for marine alternators and is aimed at anyone who wants significantly better battery charging than with a simple standard regulator, without having to invest in the full range of functions of the Max-Charge series. It replaces the standard, often only single-stage regulator with a programmable multi-stage regulator with five selectable charging programs.

For whom is the ARS-5 sufficient – and when do I need more?

The ARS-5 is the right choice for single-engine boats with one alternator up to 120 A, where solid multi-stage charging with the five most important battery programs is sufficient. However, if you need temperature compensation, individually programmable charging times, the Belt-Load Manager or a twin-engine application with Centerfielder II, you should opt directly for the MC-618 or MC-624.
