The Balmar 94 Series Alternator with 2" single foot mount (Delco-style) is available in two powerful versions: the 94-12-210-IG with 12V/210A or the 94-24-140-IG with 24V/140A. Both variants are large, professional-grade alternators for boats with high power demands, large house battery banks, and demanding electrical loads under the harshest marine conditions.

Which variant is right for me?

The choice between the two versions depends on your boat's onboard voltage: For a 12V system, choose the 12V/210A variant (94-12-210-IG); for a 24V system, choose the 24V/140A variant (94-24-140-IG). Both deliver maximum charging power for their respective voltage class from the same robust design.

  • Certification: USCG Title 33 ignition protected

Do I need an external regulator?

Yes, for both variants. The 94 Series is exclusively designed for operation with an external Balmar multi-stage regulator (e.g., MC-618 or MC-624, sold separately) — there is no internal regulator fallback in this series.

Application Area

Suitable for long-distance yachts, fishing vessels, racing yachts, and motor yachts with a large 12V or 24V onboard electrical system or lithium battery bank, where reliable charging under continuous load is crucial.
