The TEMP-AL temperature sensor is a Philippi battery temperature sensor that connects to ACL series lithium battery chargers. It enables temperature-dependent charging of lead-acid batteries and reliably protects lithium batteries from being charged at temperatures below 0 °C.

  • Enables a temperature-adjusted, gentler charging curve for lead-acid batteries

The TEMP-AL temperature sensor is specially designed for Philippi's ACL 12/25 and ACL 12/40 lithium chargers. Since lithium batteries must not be charged at temperatures below 0 °C, the TEMP-AL reports the battery temperature to the charger, which adjusts or interrupts charging accordingly.

What is the TEMP-AL needed for?

It measures the battery temperature and reports it to the Philippi ACL 12/25 and ACL 12/40 chargers so that they can control charging depending on the temperature.

Why is temperature measurement important for lithium batteries?

Lithium batteries must not be charged at temperatures below 0 °C; the TEMP-AL detects this condition and thus protects the battery from damage.
