12V-100A alternator for Yanmar engines

Does this alternator fit my Yanmar engine?

The critical factor is the foot mounting of the existing alternator on your engine. This 60-100-XX version is designed for the 3.15" dual-foot/saddle mount in the Hitachi style, as installed on most Yanmar and Westerbeke diesels. Before ordering, check the foot mount of your current alternator or contact our support if in doubt.

Individual or as a Set?

The "individual" variant provides the alternator with its standard internal Smart-Ready regulator - sufficient for most motor yachts with regular engine run times and moderate consumption. The "set" additionally includes the external ARS-5 multi-stage regulator and two temperature sensors for the alternator and battery, which enable temperature-dependent, automatic adjustment of the charging curve. The set is recommended for larger house batteries or if the engine - for example, when sailing - runs only irregularly.

Area of Application

Ideal for sailboats and motor yachts with Yanmar or Westerbeke diesel engines that have expanded their battery capacity or whose onboard electrical system is more heavily loaded by refrigerators, instruments, and electronics. Especially when sailing, where the engine often runs only briefly and irregularly, the higher charging power ensures reliably full batteries.
