The BLA charge balancer ensures charge balancing for batteries connected in series. The BLA works whenever voltage differences occur between the 12 V battery blocks. This can be during charging or discharging, or even at idle.
The BLA works bidirectionally and is able to perform charge balancing in both directions, regardless of where the weak battery is located.
The BLA can balance a 24 V block; for higher-voltage systems, several BLAs are connected in series, meaning 2 units for a 36 V system and 3 units for a 48 V system.
