The Philippi switch panel STV 206-2p is a two-pole circuit distributor from the 200 series, which protects 6 circuits on boats with thermal rocker circuit breakers, ensuring galvanic isolation from the hull. It is specially designed for aluminum and steel vessels and is suitable for 12V and 24V onboard electrical systems.

On aluminum and steel yachts, single-pole protection is not sufficient, as even small leakage currents between the onboard electrical system and the hull can lead to galvanic corrosion. The Philippi STV 206-2p solves this problem with continuously two-pole rocker circuit breakers that disconnect each of the 6 circuits on both sides. This makes the switch panel particularly suitable for the outfitting and refitting of metal vessels, while on GRP boats, the simpler single-pole 200 series is sufficient.

The STV 206-2p is part of the two-pole variant of the 200 series: those who need only 3 circuits will find the more compact and affordable alternative in the STV 203-2p; those who need more than 6 circuits can switch to the STV 212-2p with 12 circuits. All panels in the series are designed to have the same basic dimensions and can be combined side-by-side in the switch cabinet.

Compatibility: The STV 206-2p fits into the two-pole series of the 200 series (incl. STV 203-2p, STV 212-2p) and can be combined with single-pole 200 series panels in the same switch cabinet thanks to identical housing depth. Usable in 12V and 24V onboard electrical systems.

Is the two-pole version also useful for GRP boats?

Not necessary – for GRP hulls without electrical conductivity, the single-pole version of the 200 series is sufficient. The two-pole design is particularly worthwhile for aluminum and steel vessels.

What if I need more than 6 circuits?

Then the Philippi STV 212-2p with 12 two-pole protected circuits is the right choice from the same series.

For our panels, we deliberately use replaceable, mechanical circuit breakers – for maximum reliability and easy maintenance. Thanks to their sophisticated design, the components can be replaced quickly and easily, minimizing downtime.

By default, circuit breakers with a current of 10 A are installed. Alternatively, circuit breakers with currents of 6 A, 10 A, 16 A, and 20 A can be used.

The integrated protection function makes additional fuses superfluous while ensuring a high degree of operational safety. Since these are purely mechanical solutions, no additional energy is required for electronics or relays – a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and sustainability.

Depending on the model, the Series 200 control panel protects between 3 and 24 circuits. Two-pole versions are indicated by the suffix "-2p" in the model name. The exact number of circuits can be found in the product description at the top of this page.

Series 200 switch panels are available for 12V and 24V on-board power systems. When purchasing, ensure you select the correct voltage variant – this is specified in the technical data for each model.

Some models of the 200 series already have an integrated monitor (e.g. BTM2 or PSM3), others are pure circuit distributors without a monitor. Please refer to the product description on this page to see whether your model includes a monitor.

Yes. Philippi products are manufactured and tested in our own factory in Remseck. In the event of a defect, we repair devices as long as spare parts are available – even far beyond the statutory warranty period.
